The Final Question

(Sans Preamble)

The Nurture argument says…that randomness places you in your position in life…(how you are born, what opportunities you get etc.) alright  but, why is it that violence is often seen heaped (lack of choice, limitations to decent survival etc) only in case for particular identities?

The Nature argument, again of course talks of deliberate violence… where humans violate as per their reasons n logic n blah for their need for survival and as per it, each human has an equal right to violate to get what he wants.

But then The Nurture arg comes and says, oh you think? but look! in reality not everyone is able to violate equally. whatsup with that?

So The Nature argument goes like…duh, they are being lazy and stupid and not using their reason etc given to them by virtue of being inherently human they still have the opportunity. they just have to stop being stupid and make “efficient use of their resources.”

Then the Nurture argument says, dude, your so called “efficient use of resources” is an understanding so limited that it destroys identities when someone makes this “efficient use” you talk about. Such efficient use can be made only while living particular identities- not others.

Then The Nature arg says, well so- those are the identities which are the “human” identities…you aint acting as a dignified human who wants to better his life if you dont live by those identities…those particular identities are the only human traits…how we identify others as human, and respect them.

The Nurture argument- no dude, there’s more to being human than just the selfish, reasoned guy that you portrya who wants survival n better survival…or at least minimal survival.

Well, so it all boils down to this…
What exactly is human?
